Why can't I see Clinical Support Tools at all?
The whole module requires Pharmily or Network — Starter workspaces see a locked card with an upgrade prompt instead of the tool list, with no per-tool exceptions. See Clinical Tools Overview & Index.
My result changed when I switched the unit toggle — is that a bug?
No — several tools (Creatinine Clearance most commonly) accept a value in more than one unit and convert it before calculating. Switching from μmol/L to mg/dL, for example, re-runs the calculation on the converted value, so the displayed result changes even though the underlying patient value hasn't. If a converted result looks unexpectedly different, double-check which unit you actually meant to enter, not the tool's math.
A result got "capped" — what does that mean?
A few tools cap an implausible or unsafe value rather than showing it raw: Creatinine Clearance caps results above 180 mL/min (likely hyperfiltration or a data-entry error), and Paediatric Weight-Based Dosing caps a calculated dose at the drug's maximum single dose. The capped figure is what's shown as the result; the warning tells you the calculation produced something higher before the cap applied.
Why did a tool block me from getting a result at all?
Two tools can refuse a result entirely rather than showing one with a warning: Paediatric Weight-Based Dosing for a child under 1 month (on drugs not validated for neonates), and Malaria ACT Dosing for a patient under 5 kg. Both cases point you to specialist consultation instead — there's no override or "show me anyway" option, because these thresholds mark where the underlying formulas stop being validated.
Where do I find my past calculations?
Click the history (clock) icon at the top right of any calculator — history is per-tool, so your CrCl history and your Child-Pugh history are separate lists. See How Calculator Tools Work.
A "Use in..." link would be useful here but I don't see one
Only specific result pairs are linked directly — CrCl → Renal Dose Adjustment, Child-Pugh → Hepatic Dose Adjustment, CURB-65 → Antibiotic Stewardship Advisor. If you don't see a handoff link, that pairing isn't wired up yet; re-enter the value manually in the target tool.
Do these tools replace clinical judgment or the drug's actual prescribing information?
No — every result carries the same disclaimer: "For clinical reference only. Always verify with current prescribing information and clinical judgment before making any clinical decision." Treat every number here as a calculation aid, not a final answer.
