Diagnostics & AIDrug Interaction Checking
Drug Interaction Checker
A quick, ad-hoc interaction check between any drugs — no patient record required.
Pharmily+
The Drug Interaction Checker is a self-serve lookup — search for drugs and check interactions between them without needing to attach the check to a specific patient. It's sourced from MedSafe's external drug database, the same source behind the Drug Information Center.
How to use it
- Search for a drug — type at least 2 characters of the name.
- Select the drugs you want to check together.
- Run the check — results are colour-coded by severity: contraindicated, major, moderate, or minor.
What this tool is for
Quick, informal checks — "can these two drugs be taken together?" — without creating a record tied to a patient. For a check that's saved against a patient's chart and goes through pharmacist review, use Interaction Review Queue instead, or check interactions from within Add a Medication on a patient's record.
