After submitting a new case, this page polls in the background for the AI's analysis to finish — it isn't instant.
While it's processing
You'll see a processing indicator. If it's taking unusually long, the page shows "Analysis is taking longer than expected. Please refresh to check status."
Once it's ready
You'll see the AI's suggested diagnosis, a confidence level, and any flagged concerns. From here you can:
- Move on to Reviewing Results to approve, modify, or reject it
- Link to a related appointment, if one exists for this patient
If it fails
A failed analysis can be retried from here, or the request can be cancelled outright — both are one-click actions on this page.
A patient can only have one active diagnostic request at a time. Starting a second one while an earlier request is still in progress is rejected with "An active diagnostic request already exists for this patient. Please wait for the current request to complete before submitting a new one."
