FAQ & Troubleshooting: Medication Management
Common validation errors and questions when recording medications.
"End date must be after start date"
Self-explanatory, but easy to trip on if you're backdating a discontinued medication — double-check both dates on Add a Medication or Edit a Medication.
Why can't I export from the Medications Dashboard?
The Export menu (CSV/PDF) on the Medications Dashboard doesn't currently generate a file — it's a known gap, not something specific to your account.
Do I need to upgrade to use Medication Management?
No — it's available on every plan, including the free Starter plan. If you see an upgrade prompt, it means your workspace's subscription has actually expired, not that this feature needs a higher tier. See Upgrading for Medication Management.
What's the difference between an adherence score and a note?
An adherence score (0–100, logged via Log Adherence) is structured data that feeds analytics and trend charts. A free-text note in a Clinical Note doesn't show up in adherence reporting — log the score separately if you want it tracked.
I archived a medication by mistake
Nothing is lost — go to Archived Medications & Restore and click Restore. History and adherence logs stay attached the whole time.
