Starting a New AI Interpretation Case
Enter lab results manually, upload a PDF or image for OCR, or import from FHIR.

Starting a new case from the Lab Interpretation Hub begins with selecting the patient, then choosing how the results get into the system.
Ways to add results
- Manual entry — type in the values directly
- PDF upload — attach a lab report PDF; the system extracts the text via OCR
- Image upload — same as PDF, for a photographed or scanned report
- FHIR import — pull results from a connected external system
- LIS integration — from a connected laboratory information system, where available
Priority
Set the case as stat, urgent, or routine — this affects how it's prioritized in the review queue.
After submitting
The case enters the interpretation pipeline (draft → pending interpretation → pending review). Once AI interpretation completes, it's ready for Reviewing an AI Interpretation Case.
