Encounter Wizard Step 1: Condition Selection

The first step of the 6-step Encounter Wizard: choose the patient, then select which condition(s) this visit is about.

What to do

1. Select the patient — if you started the wizard from Encounter List, search for them here; if you started from their Chronic Disease tab, they're pre-selected.
2. Select one or more conditions from the Condition Registry — built-in or custom.

If the patient has active medications matching a known drug-condition pattern (e.g. amlodipine suggesting hypertension) that isn't already being tracked, you'll see it as a suggestion here too — see Understanding Auto-Detect Suggestions.

Next step

Once you've selected at least one condition, move on to Step 2: Vitals Entry — the fields shown there are determined by which condition(s) you picked here.
