Creating & Editing a Discount
Define a discount rule — percentage or flat, and what it applies to.
Fields
- Name (required, up to 100 characters)
- Description (up to 500 characters)
- Type — percentage or flat amount
- Value
- Applies to — all products, a specific category, a specific product, or a customer group
- Minimum purchase amount — the discount only applies above this threshold
- Maximum discount amount — caps how much the discount can take off, useful with percentage-type discounts
- Usage limit — how many times the discount can be used in total
- Start / end date — schedule when it's active
- Active — toggle without deleting the rule
Editing
All fields above except the discount's identity can be changed after creation.
